The cinnamon tree, (Cinnamomun zeylanicum or Cinnamomum verum) is a perennial tree that reaches 10 to 15 meters of height and is original from Sri Lanka. Its interior bark is used as a spice, after being extracted by peeling and rubbing its sticks.

It has a great aroma and a sweet woody taste. It’s used in stick and ground.

It’s used for cooking desserts (rice pudding, custard…).
