Cannelloni
A type of pasta that got its name from an Italian specialty (meaning “big tubes”).
These rectangles of durum wheat semolina are poached in water and then a ball of meat, fish or vegetable is placed in the center of each pasta sheet and rolled up like cylinders.
Cannelloni are often covered with tomato sauce, béchamel or Parmesan cheese to cover the top, and then cooked au gratin.
