Cranberry

The cranberry is a berry which grows from the bush of the same name from the Ericaeae family and the Vaccinium genus. The plant can reach 25 to 50 cm in height.
The genus has a dozen of plants which produce dark coloured berries, blue or reddish, with a high content of anthocyanins, the vegetal pigments which give them their characteristic colour.
It is not very energetic (16kcal for every 100g) and it is rich in vitamin C and B.
It is sold fresh, frozen, dehydrated and lyophilized.
