  • Peel and cut the onion into julienne strips.
  • Peel, clean and cut the carrot into julienne strips.
  • Place the onion in a pan, add water, sugar and the margarine in cubes all over the onion.
  • Cover and cook on low heat until onion is tender.
  • Uncover and increase the heat until water is evaporated and the onion gets caramelized and takes a golden color.
  • Steam the carrot.
