Black grapes
Seasonal period:
August, September, October
Grape, or grape seed, is the name given to the fruit which grows in clusters of the European grapevine. It belongs to the Vitis genus, from the Vitaceae family, which includes about 600 bush species, mainly climbing plants that produce berry-like fruits, typical in warm and tropical countries. Within the Vitis genus , we can find about 20 species grown for fruit harvesting, and some others grown for their leaves, which are consumed just like vegetables.
When choosing a variety of grapes to eat, the best pick would be the black one, because its pigmentation provides it with a higher amount of essential nutrients.
