Kumquat
Seasonal period:
April, May, June
It is the fruit from a Chinese and Japanese orange tree. It is smaller than regular oranges. They look like small oranges and they are usually oval.
They have a very citric taste, and even though they can be cross bred with other citruses, they are usually considered a different Genus.
The strangest thing about them is that the peel is sweet and delicious, which creates an incredible mixture of flavours when the fruit is eaten whole.
