Yucca is a tubercle that comes from a tropical bush grown in America, Africa and Asia.
It has a white flesh covered by a brown woody peel.
Nutritional value: it is rich in complex carbohydrates, low on protein and fat and a great source of B vitamins (B2, B6), vitamin C, magnesium, potassium, calcium and iron.
Tapioca is a flour obtained from the manihot esculenta yucca. It has more carbohydrates, around 88 % and it has very few proteins and calories, just like regular yucca.
