Flower bud of the clove tree, which belongs to the Myrtaceae family. It is picked before maturity and then sun-dried. It is brown, hard and approximately 12 mm long. The diameter of its head is 4 mm. Its taste is spicy and hot. The tree can be distinguished thanks to its characteristic flowers with five petals and numerous stamens. Cloves are very aromatic, so they should be used carefully.
