Sea lettuce
Ulva lactuca is the scientific name for the edible alga known as sea lettuce for its long green leaves, very similar to those of a lettuce.
It is rich in proteins, carbohydrates, fiber, sodium, calcium, iodine, iron (50 times more iron than in spinaches) and magnesium. It is also rich in vitamin A (twice more than kale), B, folic acid, vitamin C (10 times more than oranges) and vitamin E. It is an antioxidant, astringent, anthelmintic and it prevents gout.
