Unflavoured gelatin is a solid, translucent, colorless and fragile substance which results from a compound made with the bones and the skin of animals, mainly from pork and beef, which are separated from the fat.

One of its properties is that it dissolves when exposed to high temperatures and coagulates, clots or solidifies in low temperatures. These properties are used by the food industry to make all kind of gelatins.
