The Palmeña beans are also known as round Palmeñas.
The grain is vinous with fleshy coloured dots, elliptic,long- shaped and semi -filled . Palmeña beans are highly appreciated because once they are cooked they make a thick and delicious soup.
Palmeña beans are produced in Leon and Zamora and they are consumed in Northern Spain, mainly in the Basque Country.
